The School Run - Dutch Style II

We are very fortunate to have one of the loveliest routes to cycle to school.   Sophie is now on her own bike, which makes it a whole lot easier.

Camping

After promising to take the kids camping since early Summer last night the opportunity finally arose so off we went.  It was Matthew's first taste of a night under canvas and he wasn't disappointed.  He did all the usual camping things like blowing up the mattress, messing around in the tent, eating burnt hot-dogs with to much ketchup and listening to his dad tell ghost stories inside the tent by torchlight.  Jo, sensibly, stayed at home.

Sophie recently got her A Diploma for swimming.  She was extremely happy and we were very proud of her.

Back to School

This week Sophie and Matthew went back to school.  Sophie is now in Year 4 and Matthew in Foundation 2.  Foundation 2 is the first year of compulsory schooling so it was really his first day at school.
