Lottie went to the vets the other day and the vet made a comment that she was getting fat. This has prompted us to put her on an immediate diet. However I think this increase is perceived. My own records show that her weight has remained static for almost a year (e.g. since she stopped growing ... she is only two). The above scientific graph illustrates this. So what do you think? Should we skinny her up a bit or let her continue on her current weight of 9.1 kg?

I'll give you my thoughts tomorrow (looking forward to seeing you all again!), as I wouldn't want to offend any Dutch person that might be reading this ;-)!
i think that most Dutch vets like to have dogs on the thinner side than on the fatter side...and i must confess...that we have put our dogs on the thinner side (also cos my grandmom said that they live a little longer)...so while she is not fat...id say..keep her on a diet for a few weeks (though she is very muscular and not lardy...so not sure if the diet will work...but it might be worth a try)....

Remember food is one of the three sources of happiness.. I am talking from experience.
So you could instead sign her up for fitness classes or go running with her and she can happily keep her food intake ;)
Groetjes from Doha,

Thanks for the advice Dani. I'm not sure I like the idea of anything which involves me having to do exercise. What are these other 2 sources of happiness you refer two ... chasing magpies and getting your tummy rubbed?
