Ig

Well, there goes the Easter weekend. We bought a car last week so now we can get about a bit more (see pic of Jo with her feet all over the nice clean seat). We took a trip to the woods near Utrecht and had a long walk. This tested Jo's returning fitness, Lottie's ability to do 5 miles on 3 legs and Sophie's pram's suspension. Sophie is really growing, smiling more and making all sorts of funny sounds. Her favourite is "Ig". This started as a sound but is now a definite word in her vocabulary. She uses it every time she wants food, sleep, nappy change, picking up, putting down etc. Another thing we tried this weekend was making hand and foot paint prints for her birthday book which her Grandma Lyons is making for her. Feet are straightforward but getting her to place a freshly painted hand, outspread inside a pencil square is harder than herding cats. Anyway, off to work now.

So what did you get for Easter?

My dear wife bought me this lovely sculpture of a milk chocolate rabbit pushing a milk chocolate chicken on a wheelbarrow of dark chocolate.

Biscuits and cake!

Here is another amazing cake that Trudi made
(chocolate fudge cake inside) and some theme decorated cookies.

Sensory overload

It doesn't get any more exciting than this.

Smiles

Sophie has been smiling for over a week now but it is difficult to catch her doing it in a photo. Here are some near misses.

The Beach

Yesterday we all went for a walk along the beach. Lottie had fun, hobbling around and being crotchety with the other dogs. Sophie was in her papoose (...is that what they're called?) and slept through most of it. All-in-all a good trip out and a very photogenic scene ... only we forgot the camera memory stick. Anyway, here's a pic of the aftermath.
