Sophie had her 1st Birthday Party on Sunday. Unfortunately she woke with a high temperature so had to go to the doctor's. She perked up shortly afterwards so we decided to go ahead. Princess Darcie and Emily showed up and everything started well. Egg sandwiches were made, presents were opened, cakes received and parcels passed. However Sophie started to feel really rotten so the cake smashing was delayed until the following day.

At 1245 lunchtime today Sophie became 1 year old. The celebrations started at 0620 with a bit of present opening. She got a fairly good haul, the favourite being a bizarre alphibetipede from her Nana and Grandad Blair which has a tune for every letter of the alphabet. It also chants the alphabet, conventionally and phonetically. The celebrations continued throughout the day although I missed the middle bits. At the end of the day we celebrated by dancing to her current favourite tune ("Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder in at number one. Make Me Smile by Cockney Rebel down to two").
Today was supposed to be Sophie's first birthday party but evil Mum cancelled it ... did anyone tell Sophie?
This week we had some great news. Ruby Joyce Hobart was born. Welcome Ruby, a new girl cousin for Sophie. We thought Ruby and Sophie might share a birthday although Ruby arrived on 8th February and Sophie was born on the 13th February. As you can see Sophie is already getting her first first birthday cards.
