Free Play

We've had good weather here for some weeks now. This weekend we went swimming at Gamlingen, Stavanger's outdoor pool. All children's nurseries in Norway (and there are lots) have impressive outdoor play areas, which are open to the general public at weekends. This afternoon we went for a tour around our neighbourhood and enjoyed some of this free activity. Sophie is getting stronger and stronger all the time and turning into a bit of a climber. She had an X-ray a couple of weeks ago and they told us that everything seems to be in place.

Dr Wendy

For the past couple of days Sophie has insisted that we call her "Dr Wendy". Jo shall henceforth be "Dr Mummy" and I am to be "Jubbly Wubbly" ... Self-respect? Me?. She also insists on wearing her hat with the brim at the back with her sunglasses on her forehead (see pic). She's definitely in a "cooool" period ... today she suddenly shouted "Let's Rock 'n' Roll!" and started furiously playing her electric organ. Another warm , sunny and busy weekend here in Norway. Sophie enjoyed Stella's party.
