Elfling

We like this picture. Sophie looks like a cute extra from LOTR.

Good Hair Day?

Now saxophone buskers needn't ask whether I'm a girl or a boy!

Easter beckons

We're off to Scotland for the Easter break. In anticipation of sunny walks up piney glens (or rainy hikes around Asda in Perth) we've got Sophie a new mode of transport. She really likes being carried around in this rucksack; a great view and an opportunity to bash her father's head to boot.

When you're feeling down .... get your hair done

There's nothing like a bit of personal grooming from an enthusiastic trainee to make you feel better.

Dog gets bitten

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Lottie has been grizzly with big dogs ever since her accident. I think she's just really insecure and thinks all dogs are out to get her. We've tried beating it out of her with no luck. Anyway, the other day she tried it on with a big dog in the park and got a reaction in the form of a good old fashioned mauling. She's been a bit tender for the past two days.

Doing Bird

As you can see from this pic, Sophie is getting quite good at standing up. She now weighs more than Lottie too, although Lottie is doing her utmost to reverse this trend.

Beastly and the squirrels

I'm not sure how to rotate a video

Center Parcs

We're just back from a week in the U.K. They've stopped the fast ferry from Hook of Holland so we expected the car journey (via Eurotunnel through Belgium and France) to be a nightmare. However it went remarkably smoothly. We went to Center Parcs. Some of it was awful; the weather and constant strafing by fighter jets from Mildenhall air base spring to mind. However, on the whole it was a relaxing week and we did lot's of fun stuff, mainly involving biking around and floating in warm water under a plastic dome. Sophie also enjoyed the plethora of foamy rooms dotted about the site. You gets what you pays for.
