Where's Daddy?

What do you get for the girl who already has everything?

On Queen's day the Dutch sell their old rubbish on the street. We splurged 9.10 EUR on a matching pairs game, 3 videos, 4 puzzles, a doll's high chair and sleepsuit (for Chaz - not Sophie), a tool kit (also containing a bonus Doctor's kit, a doll's hot water bottle and a doll's fork), a Lego set and a tambourine.

The best part is we can sell it all next year and get our money back.

Our Tune

Sophie has a musical box on which wooden bees rotate to the music of "Our Tune" from the Simon Bates Radio 1 show (circa 1983).

Chaz

Not too much going on here. Sophie is busy developing. She can now feed herself reasonably well with a fork and is more relaxed at mealtimes. No more tears; she either chows down or flips her food onto the floor, which means that Lottie is banished to the kitchen. Lottie is doing remarkably well with her diet. She now weighs 9.7 kg which is a significant reduction from a few weeks ago. I think things improved when she stopped eating Stilton. Here's a pic of Sophie playing mum with Chaz.

Thank You Mike!

Mike not only sorted out the whole Easter holiday (at times in the face of huge opposition), he sorted out our camera's exposure problem. Here are two pictures before and after :

It now takes great pictures so the quality of this blog will improve lots - well the pix any way!

Eggs!

Just to wrap up the holiday entries for now here's a pic of Sophie taking part in her first Easter egg hunt. This photo had to be fixed beacuse the colours were all wrong and it was overexposed. Apparently our camera was set up wrong but we managed to find a techo whizz to fix it for us (... thanks Mike). It's tempting to unload the entire contents of the camera on you but hopefully the previous posts give a flavour of our trip to Scotland. Other highlights included meeting a deer called Krusty face-to-face (do deer have faces?), watching a show-off peacock spread its tail feathers and pointing at sheep. Tomorrow I go back to work and Beastly comes home. Don't holidays pass quickly.

The wild women of Glen Tilt

Another Munro in the bag

View from the top of Carn a' Chlamain looking towards the Cairngorms. Mike's sitting at the summit cairn looking smug because he's just bought a fancy new camera. The lens cap will spend the night here.

Friends

The highlight of Sophie's holiday was making lots of new friends. Sophie and her old chum Dan provided lots of entertainment for the older kids.

Nice hats

Just back from Sophie's first foray north of the border. We stayed in Glen Tilt in the white lodge at the centre of the photo. Will post some pics later.

Bags packed....

Have I remembered everything....

"One Fish, Two Fish" and "Dear Zoo", two bangles, Duncan Donkey, two boxes of raisins, bouncy ball, wheelie frog, squeeky chicken, whistle and two finger puppets.

Everything inside

OK, lets get going to Scotland for a week.

Didn't your mum cut your hair?

Not too much going on here. We're enjoying the good weather. New experiences this weekend include close contact with pigs, goats and cows and a trip on a merry-license-to-print-money-go-round. The animals were fun but refused to make the noises they make in the stories (I chipped in). Note from the photo that Sophie has had a trim.
